Product Manager

Since its beginning over 48 years ago, CARDONE has grown from six employees into the largest privately-held automotive parts remanufacturer in the world. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, CARDONE now employs over 6,000 employees with additional facilities in California, Texas, Mexico and Canada.

Our Product Management team at Cardone is looking to add a Product Manager to help and assist the department in overall product strategy, research & development requirements, program development, and the manufacturing coordination of products. This opportunity is looking for strong automotive aftermarket experience, strategic thinking and the ability to work cross-functionally!


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Automotive background is required
  • Provides a link between operations and our customer/sales force.
  • Weighs internal and external requests and identifies which contribute to increasing sales and improved profits.
  • Coordinates the company's efforts to ensure that the customer's expectations are being met.
  • Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production.
  • Manages day to day performance of product line(s).
  • Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
  • Conducts marketing analysis to develop product definitions and to ID threats and define opportunity.
  • Develops and maintains complete product data information consisting of feature and benefit review, competitive interchange, pricing rationale, product description and function and merchandising alternatives.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing services, manufacturing, customer service, accounting, distribution, and logistics.
  • Responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product division.
  • Coordinates and develops marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for product line.
  • Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
  • Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
  • Coordinates the company's efforts in the launching of new products and services.
  • Creates the ongoing development of packaging, collateral material, sales fliers, and product brochures for assigned product lines.
  • Provides Marketing Services with appropriate product features and benefits to assist them in developing advertisements, public relations, and editorials for trade publications.
