EDI Systems Technical Analyst

CARDONE Industries is seeking an EDI Systems Technical Analyst.  Ideal candidates will have experience with implementation and management of EDI solutions to conduct automated, electronic business with customers, vendors, and banking institutions.  This is a hands-on position, configuring software, creating project plans and roadmaps as well as communicating status and plans to the rest of the business.  They will work constantly to enhance the EDI architecture to run more effectively and efficiently. 

This position will be responsible for:

  • Being the technical “Face to the Customer” for EDI related activities
  • Acting as SME in creating a new .NET based architecture moving away from Inovis AS-400
  • Working on inbound and outbound activities for new and changing EDI transactions, file and field mapping setup. 
  • All aspects of effective EDI configuration and processing
  • Research and resolve charge-back and non-conformance related issues
  • Creating documentation related to EDI mapping, processing and administration

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or computer related field
  • 8+ years of EDI experience with traditional and non-traditional forms of EDI concepts, practices and procedures
  • Design, develop, test, document and modify software and hardware services based on user or systems design specifications
  • Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications and/or network issues requiring no supervision
  • Self-starting, ability to work without direct supervision, managing own workload while asking for help when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a business partner with all levels and functional areas of the organization
  • Strong analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to work effectively with external and internal customers
  • Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and administering INOVIS running on AS400 is a plus

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, design, implement, document and maintain a company-wide EDI solution for interacting with customers, vendors, and banks as required
  • Ability to plan, design blueprints of the AS-IS and TO-BE EDI architecture, integration points with various systems internal and external transitions
  • Research and troubleshoot EDI communication issues and provide technical expertise to customers to assist troubleshooting with their solution
  • Create and maintain onboarding documentation to provide to customers and vendors to easily interface with existing EDI solution
  • Assist customers and vendors in planning, testing, and implementing EDI solutions. Develop custom configuration as necessary to support unique customer requirements
  • Monitor the health of EDI daily. Drive expert and quick resolution in areas that require attention
  • Expand on opportunities to increase the use of EDI throughout the organization, especially with customers
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in the field of EDI and software by attending training, seminars, or educational workshops, and reading publications, white papers, and article.
