Compensation Manager

  • 5-10 years in Compensation Management
  • Experience with various incentive programs (Management, Sales Commissions, Gain/Profit-sharing)
  • Experience with Manufacturing environments
  • Experienced with Unions and the Collective Bargaining Process
  • SAP/Success Factors experience preferable
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the goals and objectives of the entire organization in the management of employee compensation.

Plan, develop and implement new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures and supervise the administration of existing programs in order to be responsive to the organization's goals and competitive practices

Utilizes effective strategies to evaluate the organization's competitive position in employee compensation; develops cost control procedures to assure maximum benefit at the least possible cost to the company and employee

Develop and implement salary structure and administrative guidelines in accordance with compensation policy

Prepare job descriptions for positions in organization.

Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy formulated by human resources executive

Reviews and approves salary increases permitted within budgetary limits and according to established compensation policies

Analyze company compensation policies in relation to government wage and hour regulations, prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas, agreements with labor unions, and recommend changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates

Analyze organizational pay practices and make recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity

Administers special compensation programs or incentive systems for all employees or for specific groups to support the organization's objectives

Participate in development and administration of performance review system to ensure compliance with salary administration guidelines

Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for program improvement. Writes requests for proposals, negotiates with vendors , and oversees administration of contracts or other agreements involving employee compensation. Interacts with consultants and brokers.

Respond to employee concerns regarding company compensation programs and advise, approve, or deny exception requests

Ensure that development and execution of administrative policies governing employee compensation are in compliance with all local, state ,and federal regulations
