Trade Compliance Analyst

The Position: 

CARDONE Industries is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Analyst for its Trade Compliance division. The Trade Compliance Analyst will drive necessary tactical management of trade related functions from internal database maintenance, reports, Customs audits and data requests, import/export documentation, brokerage activity, and assist with Intl. logistics as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience 

Education: Bachelor's Degree-in a Trade/business related discipline preferred

  • Ability to interpret and manipulate large, complex data sets, using intermediate/advanced Excel skills

  • SAP knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities:​

  • Classification – Determine product classification (HTS for US, Canada and Mexico) and maintain FG/RM Table. Determination of HTS classification for Cardone Finished Good units and Raw Materials components and maintenance of Trade Compliance Finished Good and Raw Material Tables. 

  • Audit – Review International and Customs related transactions, validate claims, document and address potential issues as related to Import/Export activity and company repository

  • Associated Reports - Run required reports for database maintenance and metrics. This to include but not limited to weekly audit reports for raw materials, catalog parts, finished goods (FG) and create Product trade information (PTIs) documents. Specific query reports also needed to validate Trade Compliance data.

  • Projects as assigned including ongoing supplier affidavits/country of origins

  • Database maintenance for applicable Trade Compliance data.

  • Assist in managing NAFTA qualification and documentation process

  • Update procedures as required

  • Perform denied party screening as necessary.

  • Respond to CHB requests for information as well as internal/external customers and vendors.

    Support the company’s participation in various Customs programs as needed (PIP,

  • Assist with Intl. logistics as needed for trade related issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Challenges:

  • Cultivate and maintain on-going relationships with internal customers and external trade/logistics vendors
  • Keep trade compliance database current and validated.  

 

Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel may be required
